Inline legal notices when converting imported customer invoices to e-invoices

What's new

When importing a customer invoice with POST /api/external/v2/customer_invoices/import and convert_to_e_invoice: true, you can now send the three mandatory French legal notices directly in the request, with the new optional legal_notices object:

late_payment_penalties: "Late payment penalties" legal notice (Factur-X note PMD)

fixed_recovery_cost: "Fixed recovery cost for late payment" legal notice (Factur-X note AAB)
discount_terms: "Early payment discount" legal notice (Factur-X note PMT)

The three fields are required inside the object, must not be blank, and are limited to 1024 characters each. They are embedded in the generated Factur-X e-invoice and take priority over the legal notices configured in the footer of your Pennylane account.

You no longer need to configure an invoice template footer in Pennylane to convert imported invoices, and you can send different legal notices for each invoice.

⚠️ Breaking changes

New error message. When no legal notices are available, the 422 error message changes from:

The company must have a default invoice template with a footer configured to convert to e-invoice.

to:

Legal notices are required to convert to e-invoice. Please provide legal_notices with late_payment_penalties, fixed_recovery_cost, and discount_terms.

If you match on the previous message, update your integration.

Stricter validation. If you don't send legal_notices, the footer of your default invoice template must contain all three legal notices. A footer missing any of them now returns a 422 error. Previously, these requests succeeded but produced e-invoices without the mandatory notes, which failed French BR-FR compliance validation.

legal_notices requires conversion. Sending legal_notices without convert_to_e_invoice: true returns a 422 error.
